Mass Observation Online. Directive responses, 1939-1955.
These Directive Replies are responses from Mass Observation's National Panel to open-ended questionnaires. The questionnaires asked for opinions on a variety of subjects, including class, race, sexual behaviour, politics, and religion. The National Panel consisted of around 500 volunteers who wrote personal accounts for Mass Observation.
