"This analysis will focus on the use of three psychotropic drug classes by seniors (people age 65 and older): benzodiazepines and related drugs, antidepressants and antipsychotics. These drug classes have been associated with an increased risk of falls, particularly when used by seniors. Unintentional falls are the leading cause of injury-related hospital admissions. The proportion of admissions caused by falls increases with age"--P. 1.
