Over 3000 file reports contain summaries of work carried out by Mass Observation, the pioneering British social research organisation. These reports contain information gathered by Mass Observation's paid observers, through interviews, overheard conversations, street surveys and questionnaires. Reports contain information on everyday life in Britain, attitudes to politics and the state, and market research for commercial products. Includes a number of memos issued by Tom Harrisson.
