Classifying Cannabis in the Canadian Statistical System

Summary: 'Statistics Canada needs to respond to the prospective legalization of cannabis by measuring various aspects of the introduction of cannabis in the Canadian economy and society. An important part of measuring the economy and society is using statistical classifications. It is common practice with classifications that they are updated and revised as new industries, products, occupations and educational programs are introduced into the Canadian economy and society. This paper describes the proposed changes to the various statistical classifications in order to measure the introduction of legal non-medical cannabis'--Provided by publisher.
