Win-Win Transportation Emission Reduction Strategies : Smart Transportation Strategies Can Reduce Pollution and Provide Other Important Economic, Social and Environmental Benefits

Litman, Todd. (Added Author). Canadian Electronic Library (Firm) (distributor.). Coherent Digital (Firm) (Added Author).

Summary: There are many possible ways to reduce pollution emissions. Some provide significant additional benefits, called co-benefits. Win-Win Transportation Solutions are costeffective policy reforms that solve transportation problems by improving mobility options and removing market distortions that cause excessive motor vehicle travel. They can provide many economic, social and environmental benefits. If implemented to the degree that is economically justified, Win-Win Solutions can reduce transportation emissions by 30-60% while helping to achieve other community goals. This report discusses the WinWin concept and describes various Win-Win emission reduction strategies.
